Sneha V
Director
Sneha V began learning Mysuru style Bharatanatyam at the age of six under Guru Natyavisharade Smt. Krishnaveni, a disciple of Padma Bhushana Dr. K. Venkatalakshamma, and later continued under Guru Smt. Vijayalaxmi Gururaj.
With over 20 years of experience, she holds a Post Vidwath, a Master’s degree, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Bharatanatyam at the University of Mysore.
Dedicated to preserving this classical art, Sneha offers personalized training from beginner to advanced levels, combining practical and theory sessions. She emphasizes individual attention, musical understanding, and a deep knowledge of performance, nurturing students into confident and informed dancers.
Pushpa V Shankar
Director
Mrs. Pushpa V. Shankar, hailing from Mysore, Karnataka, developed a deep-rooted passion for Carnatic music from an early age. Her dedication to the classical tradition led her to pursue and complete a Master’s degree in Carnatic music. With over two decades of experience as a performer and educator, she brings both artistry and scholarship to her work.
She is the Founder and Director of Sharada Academy of Music, where she has been nurturing and mentoring students across all levels. Her teaching blends rigorous training with cultural sensitivity, ensuring that students not only master the technical aspects but also imbibe the emotional and spiritual depth of Carnatic music.
Her tireless commitment to the art has made a lasting impact, inspiring a new generation of musicians and contributing significantly to the preservation and propagation of South Indian classical music.
Our Story
Laasya Media was founded in 2018 with a registered office at Mysore with a vision to promote academic excellence and knowledge dissemination in the field of performing arts. Over the years, we have grown to become a leading publisher, dedicated to spreading new research and enriching the academic community.
